Reclassification Awards

What is Reclassification?

Many of our students enter Osborn School speaking a language other than English.  These students are called English Learners or ELs.  It is our hope that with lots of hard work and determination these students will demonstrate that he or she is fluent in English in all areas:  Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.  These students must do well not only on the CELDT Test but also on the state standardized test, the CST.  When this takes place, these students are no longer considered English Learner, or ELs, but instead Fluent English Proficient or FEP.
